Planning Engineer

As a Planning Engineer at Ritz Serve Trading and Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects related to exploration, production, refining, and distribution of oil and gas. Your primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and according to established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:

- Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
- Create and maintain project schedules using project management software, considering dependencies, constraints, and resource availability.
- Monitor and update project schedules regularly, identifying and addressing any schedule deviations or delays.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

- Assist in the development of project budgets by estimating the required resources, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze cost data, historical project information, and industry benchmarks to support accurate cost estimation.
- Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor their implementation.
- Collaborate with the project team to proactively manage risks and develop contingency plans.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

- Regularly track project progress, comparing actual progress against planned milestones and deliverables.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate project status, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), risks, and deviations.
- Provide timely updates to project stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.

Coordination and Communication:

- Foster effective communication and coordination among project team members, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with various departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely availability of resources, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights, recommendations, and progress updates.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications in project management are advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the oil and gas industry or a similar sector.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
- Familiarity with risk management techniques and tools.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

**Salary**: From QAR4,000.00 per month

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
