Procurement Officer

About the role

We are currently recruiting for Procurement Officer for Ground Services in Doha.

The role is responsible to perform operational task for all Ground Services procurement requirements, support and facilitate Ground services procurement section for operational and administrative task. Participate in managing vendor accounts and provide time bound execution of tenders. Acts as the Ground Services buyer in front of participated suppliers.

Key accountabilities include:

- Execute procurement activities in line with category requirements, meeting time frames and planning for Procurement Activities with our internal stakeholders to secure a competitive environment.
- Identifies and generate cost saving opportunities for the contracted services with the suppliers in order to minimize the current total spend for QR.
- Recommends process improvement to our internal stakeholders in order to reduce Request for (RFQ) Quotation timelines.
- Track contracted supplier performance to circumvent issue and achieve higher service levels for QR.
- Conduct market research to identify potential as well as do maintain and promote sound relationship with suppliers.
- Complete end to end tender details including all documents required as per relevant policies.
- Provide regular status update and act as the primary contact for queries and project to all internal stakeholders.
- Achieving assigned KPIs in line with Category KPIs to support department and company goals.
- Perform other department duties related to position as directed by the Head of Department.
- Contribute towards Qatar Airways Group Environmental Objectives and Targets.

**Qualifications**:
About you
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Must have a strong procurement experience.
- Essential to have relative trainings pertaining to procurement and negotiations.
- Have decent enough experience in Ground Services
- Preferred to have a finance background
- Essential to have a good communication skill
- Strong negotiation skills
- Numeracy and the ability to present data clearly and accurately
- Planning, Problem Solving and Decision-Making abilities.
- Demonstrative initiative
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
