**Job overview**:
The **IB PYP Homeroom Teacher** is responsible for delivering an **inquiry-based, student-centered** learning experience in alignment with the **International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)**. This role requires fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment while guiding students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Teaching & Learning**:

- Plan and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that support the PYP framework and Transdisciplinary Themes.
- Develop students’ conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and research skills.
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and support student growth.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology, real-world connections, and IB Approaches to Learning (ATL) into lessons.

**2. Student Development & Well-being**:

- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Support students’ social and emotional development, promoting IB Learner Profile attributes.
- Guide students in self-management, reflection, and inquiry skills.
- Ensure student safety, well-being, and positive behavior management.

**3. Curriculum & Collaboration**:

- Participate in collaborative planning meetings to develop transdisciplinary units.
- Contribute to curriculum development and IB authorization/evaluation processes.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to IB methodologies.

**4. Communication & Community Engagement**:

- Maintain open and professional communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
- Provide regular feedback on student progress through conferences and reports.
- Participate in school events, student-led conferences, and IB exhibitions.
- Actively promote the school’s mission and IB philosophy within the community.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification (IB PYP training preferred).
- Experience in IB PYP schools with a strong understanding of inquiry-based learning.
- Familiarity with IB standards, assessment strategies, and transdisciplinary teaching.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for student-centered, international education.
