Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

**Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to)**:

- Monitor and direct the team - engineers and draftsmen performance on a daily basis.
- Supervise and manage multiple clients and sub-contractors for applicable phases of projects.
- Develop sustainable building services designs on numerous major projects including commercial, residential, tall tower, Infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
- Have knowledge in ventilation and air conditioning systems and a successful track record of delivering detailed designs to the highest international standards.
- Create the design criteria, which would define the requirements the systems would be required to deliver.
- Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of HVAC airflow diagrams and utility systems process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), and general arrangements.
- Develop final design documents including specification, sequences of operation as well as the HVAC ductwork layout and final construction documents
- Research, plan, design and develop sustainable HVAC systems.
- Ensure that the documents meet the municipal, company and client standards/ protocols.
- Review and resolve any issues related to team members.
- Be accountable for monitoring planning budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers to monitor staffing models to projected workloads to meet expected project timelines and profitability projections.
- Ensure that company and client standards and protocol are followed.
- Oversee and resolve the various design issues during all phases.
- Prepare, present, or participate in seminars or symposiums.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the quality department requirements and audits.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the business development & tenders management activities when requested.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience
- UPDA Grade-**A** is preferred
- Have thorough knowledge of codes related to the design.
- Have thorough knowledge of HVAC software program i.e. HAP, Elite, Trace CAD, Revit and EQ Software selection for AHU,FCU, Fans.
