**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Advise, guide and support managers in the implementation of Health & Safety practices both on site and within the office environment; working closely with stakeholders to ensure that Corporate, Client and Local Health & Safety procedures and policies are being applied
on a Project level.
- Undertake the role of lead contact responsible to senior management for advice and recommendations regarding Safety related issues.
- Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required.
- Ensure Project wide compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Advise and supervise Contractors in a broad range of safety and health hazard prevention methods, and monitor for implementation of the Contractors SHE Plans.
- Coordinate closely with Client's Quality, Health and Safety Department on Safety requirement and reporting to minimize work construction disruption on site.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Health & Safety Management or equivalent (NEBOSH Dip, Level 6) from a recognized University to the approval of the Engineer.
- Minimum 15 years’ post-education experience and at least 10 years experience in the same field & same position.
- Must have experience working in **Infrastructure (roads, drainage, utilities etc.) projects.**
- Professional OHS Qualification certified by NEBOSH (IGC/NGC).
- Profession al OHS Qualification certified by IOSH (Managing Safely and Working Safely).
- Professional OHS Qualification certified by OSHA.
- Safety Management Qualification certified in ISO 45001as lead auditor.
- Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association e.g. IOSH;
- Hold valid certificate in First Aid
- 3rd party certified in Hazard Assessment (Entry to confined spaces, underground structures and work at height).
- Must demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of typical hazards likely to exist on construction sites. 3rd party Confined space training, proven updated H&S knowledge via continuous training particularly as to Health, Safety and Environmental issues are required;
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of H&S Inspectors;
- Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple working areas on site are essential.
- Experience working in Gulf region is preferred.
- Qatar driving License
- Flexibility in shift work as required, including night shift where required.
