**Job Title**: Senior Accountant

**Location**: Qatar

**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Qatari regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- **General Ledger & Account Reconciliation**:

- Manage the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- **Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control**:

- Assist in the development and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support cost control initiatives and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- **Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting**:

- Ensure adherence to Qatari tax laws, including preparation and submission of relevant tax returns and documentation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and regulatory reviews.
- Stay updated on changes in local regulations and international standards that may impact financial practices.
- **Process Improvement & System Management**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
- Support the implementation and optimization of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Recommend and implement best practices to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
- **Team Leadership & Collaboration**:

- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide training on accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory updates relevant to Qatar.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to both local (Qatari) regulations and international accounting standards.
- Prior experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) commonly used in the region.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, Qatari tax regulations, and local compliance requirements.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based role in Qatar with occasional travel to regional offices or company sites.
- May require extended hours during key financial reporting periods or audits.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
