The Proximate Visa and Immigration team in Qatar Shell is made up of 3 staff and provides support to approximate 1,500 employees and their eligible family members of various categories and terms of employment.

**What’s the role?**

The Proximate Visa and Immigration Advisor is responsible to provide top-quality support/advisory to HR Policy & Services team as well as the business with end to end transactional and operational Visa & Immigration activities in co-operation with the offshore teams in Malaysia and other departments in Qatar Shell.

The Proximate Visa and Immigration Advisor provides support, advice and expertise on visa & immigration related queries and delivers a high-quality customer service to Qatar Shell employees.

Accountabilities
- Arrange and deliver immigration induction for new joiners & offboarding for leavers.
- Manage cancellation of QID’s for leavers.
- Maintain Visa & Immigration tracker/database and ensure to keep up to date.
- Accountable for end-to-end expenses process
- Provide support to employees and the Company on Visa & immigration related matters outside of office hours while “on-call” (e.g., traffic accident or any other emergency).
- Provide support to Government Relations team to renew commercial registration & commercial license and establishment card for Qatar Shell.
- Respond to and process transactional requests accurately, consistently and in a timely manner in accordance with standardized process, Visa Immigration and within established timeframes
- Liaison with immigration and other government departments when required to ensure efficient and timely services to meet the business requirement. (Traffic, Immigration, Ministry of Labour, Hamad Medical, CID and other significant departments.)
- Remain up to date and keep the Team Lead informed with changes or amendments to the existing legislation/visa immigrations procedures ensuring compliance.
- Have good relation and network of contacts in all the government departments to support your work.

**What we need from You**
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as Public Relations Officer in Qatar.
- Very good knowledge of all Qatar, Visa Immigration & Labour Law.
- Excellent Arabic & English communication skills
- both oral & written.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Commitment to employer with a high level of integrity & credibility
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Other activities and Special Challenges
- Working in a continuously changing environment. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Maintaining a strong working relationship with team members of the HR Policy & Services team as well as with other teams within and outside of HR in Qatar Shell.
- Flexibility and commitment to work outside office hours/days when required given Qatar governmental office hours/Ramadan/weekend in case of emergencies etc.
- Dealing with people at all levels and from diverse background
- Faced with multiple competing priorities focusing efforts on activities that will deliver the highest level of business contribution to the team.
- Must have strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
