As a Kitchen / Laundry Technician, you will support the Engineering Team to ensure that engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including general property maintenance energy conservation, are working properly and to standard. You are also responsible for the development of the Engineering Team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards.
- Provide technical support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of kitchen equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and repair laundry equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted laundry operations.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on laundry machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with the laundry team to optimize production schedules and ensure timely processing of laundry loads.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the laundry area, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and laundry supplies to facilitate quick repairs and replacements.
- Provide technical support and training to laundry colleagues on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for specialized equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to laundry equipment and operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot issues with kitchen equipment.
- Uphold safety and efficiency standards in the kitchen environment.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in kitchen equipment.
- Assist in maintaining a well-functioning and safe kitchen environment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for necessary repairs and replacement parts.
- Assist in the installation of new kitchen equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Train kitchen colleagues on the proper use and care of equipment.
- Keep an inventory of spare parts and equipment manuals.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend energy-efficient practices.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address cross-functional issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen maintenance area.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as Kitchen & Laundry Technician
- A certificate in a specialized field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing, required
- Experience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel, and/or restaurant complex or similar.
- Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
