**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- 1) Designs power system facilities and equipment and coordinates construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, transmission lines, and distribution systems and equipment: Designs and plans layout of generating plants, transmission and distribution lines, and receiving and distribution stations.
- 2) Directs preparation of or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation.
- 3) Estimates labor, material, construction, and equipment costs.
- 4) Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
- 5) Observes operation of installation for conformance with operational standards.
- 6) Coordinates operation and maintenance activities to ensure optimum utilization of power system facilities and meet customer demands for electrical energy.
- 7) May compile power rates and direct others in evaluating properties and developing utilities in new territories.
- 8) May be designated according to type of engineering functions as Engineer, Design-And-Construction; Engineer, Operations-And-Maintenance.
- 9) Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- 10) May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Development**:

- Create detailed electrical designs and schematics using CAD software.
- Develop prototypes and perform testing to evaluate performance and reliability.
- **Project Management**:

- Manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers.
- **Analysis and Troubleshooting**:

- Analyze existing electrical systems and troubleshoot issues to improve efficiency and performance.
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure all designs comply with national and international electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
- **Documentation**:

- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, testing results, and project progress.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- **Licenses**: Valid UPDA Grade A or B and QCDD licenses are mandatory.
- **Experience**: Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering in GCC country,
