**Technical skills**
- Strong understanding of network design principles and be able to design and implement network solutions.
- Understanding of network security principles and be able to implement basic security solutions, such as firewalls and VPNs.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Monitor network performance and reliability, ensuring mínimal downtime and swift resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security and implement best practices.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues and uphold the service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct network assessments and recommend improvements to enhance performance and security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and DNS.
- Experience in managing WAN technologies, especially SD-WAN.

**Training and certificates**
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent from other network vendors.
- ITIL, Monitoring tools such as CISCO LMS, SolarWinds, ManageEngine OP Manager, IBM IP Manager.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.

**Tasks and Job Role**
- Monitor core and distribution networks for availability and performance,
- Conduct monitoring and event management, which includes identifying, isolating, and diagnosing events.
- Identify any faults or performance issues in the network equipment infrastructure and address the associated problems.
- Administer network security devices like Firewalls, NAC, and wireless controllers.
- Address and resolve any access issues concerning access layer and passive components.
- Oversee and monitor WAN connections to ensure cost-effective and optimized bandwidth usage.

Manage SD-WAN devices and servers.

Supervise MPLS (Fiber and Microwave) connections.

Monitor Internet and Business broadband connectivity.

Manage IOT connections.
