**What we want**

The Temporary Research Assistant will perform experimental research on the desalination of saline waters using engineered osmosis. Assist with experimental research on chemical treatment and resource recovery from high salinity waters. Data Interpretation and reporting and mentoring and supervision of undergraduate students in the laboratory.

**Salary**:Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Appropriate Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Preferably to have qualification relevant to the job description.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform experimental research on desalination of saline waters using engineered osmosis.
- Prepare draw and feed solutions with varying chemical compositions.
- Screen draw solutions for performance.
- Design and execute desalination experiments to evaluate water flux and solute transport through membranes.
- Membrane characterization.
- Support data collection, perform analysis, and prepare reports and result summaries for ongoing projects.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support experimental design.
- Assist in experimental research on chemical treatment and resource recovery from high-salinity waters.
- Maintain safe laboratory practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate students in laboratory practices, providing guidance on experimental methods and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
