**Assistant Project Control Engineer (Cost)**

**Doha, Qatar**

**What you will be Doing**:
Cost Engineering:

- Assist with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly invoices to Clients in accordance with the Contract requirements.
- Facilitate the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS), interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments as needed.
- Perform some independent analysis of data stored in the project management and cost control systems. Creates presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.
- Assist with updating the system with cost forecasts.

Planning and Scheduling:

- Implement and maintains Project Planning and Scheduling.
- Understand and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
- Develop and maintains less complex critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
- Analyze, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.
- Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Ability to support in generating graphical and tabular reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report schedule status to all levels of project and Company management as well as to the Client.

Earned Value:

- Implement and maintains an Earned Value Management System on the project.
- Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).
- Prepare and maintains project forecasts and status updates.
- Provide assessment with corrective action recommendations to management.

**What Required Skills You will Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in cost control and planning on engineering projects
- Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field
- Understanding of Project Control principles for major programmes
- Proficient PC skills including a working knowledge of various Project Controls software, Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of PowerBI
- Seeks to improve and expand technical knowledge where appropriate
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines
