**Internal Communication**:
Workshop Manager, Electrical Superintendents, Workshop Supervisor, and Technical Superintendents
Vessel Masters and Chief Engineers

**Purpose**:
To ensure proper reporting and to have a good liaison with other members of the team for effectiveness of the job assigned.
To liaise with vessel staff for an update on vessel equipment condition and for carrying out equipment repairs/ maintenance.

**External Communication**:
OEM’s, Subcontractors, Service suppliers, Repair workshops and Shipyards

**Purpose**:
To ensure that the trouble shooting and repairs on the vessel are carried out in a cost effective manner.

**Occupational Health & Safety and Environment**

**Accountability**:
Are accountable for their acts and omissions.

**Responsibility**:
To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.

**Authority**:
To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.

**Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills**
**Education & Professional Qualification**:
Bachelors degree in Electric or Electronics or any related field.

**Professional Experience**:
3-5 years of experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience managing electrical systems on offshore vessels. Familiar with best practices in Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) and safety regulations. Strong understanding of ship's machinery, particularly electrical and electronic components onboard.

**Geographic Experience**:
N/A

**Computer Skills**:
Proficiency in MS Office suite

**Language Skills**:
Fluent Business English
Arabic is preferred

**Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge**:

- Exposure to best practices in marine electrical equipment maintenance.

**Responsibilities/Communication/OHSE**
**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Electrical Maintenance & Repairs:
Test, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including frequency drives, PCBs, power supply modules, and other electrical equipment.
- Emergency Backup:
Act as a backup for ETOs, providing emergency replacements when necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Supervisory Support:
Assist the Electrical Superintendent in their absence and oversee electrical projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time.
- Component Knowledge & Maintenance:
Gain in-depth knowledge of vessel electrical equipment and ensure the maintenance of parts/components required for repairs.
- Vibration Analysis & Testing:
Perform vibration analysis and monitor the electrical systems to evaluate performance, maintaining records in-house for future reference.
- Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
Collaborate with team members to resolve electrical issues, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and ensure smooth operations.
- Pressure & Temperature Calibration:
Utilize pressure and temperature calibrators for accurate testing and calibration of electrical systems.
- PCB Repair & Testing:
Use PCB repair test benches along with specialized tools like SMD PCB repair benches to diagnose faults, such as damaged components or short circuits, on printed circuit boards. Test the repaired PCBs to verify their functionality under operating conditions.
- Diagnostic Tools & Software:
Proficiently use diagnostic tools such as Caterpillar ET and MTU Diasys engine diagnosis software for troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
- Diagnostic Equipment:
Utilize mA/mV injectors, simulators, and pneumatic test benches for system evaluation and troubleshooting.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
