**Design Civil Engineer - Wet Utilities, Surface Water, TSE irrigation, and Water Networks**

**Position Summary**

The Design Civil Engineer (Wet Utilities) will be responsible for the design, review, and coordination of wet utility systems including surface water drainage, treated sewage effluent (TSE) irrigation networks, potable water, and firefighting water distribution systems. The engineer will ensure that all designs comply with local authority standards (Ashghal, Kahramaa, MoECC, etc.), project requirements, and international best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, review, and prepare detailed designs, drawings, technical reports, and specifications for wet utility infrastructure, including:

- Surface water and stormwater drainage networks.
- TSE irrigation systems.
- Potable and firefighting water distribution networks.
- Perform hydraulic design calculations, demand assessments, and network analysis using recognized design software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks, EPANET, Civil 3D).
- Prepare design submissions, design reports, hydraulic models, and drawings for client and authority approvals.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, landscape, road, and geotechnical) to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Ensure designs meet Ashghal, Kahramaa, QCS, and other relevant Qatar authority standards.
- Provide design support during construction and respond to RFIs, design clarifications, and site-related queries.
- Participate in value engineering, feasibility studies, and alternative design solutions to optimize costs and functionality.
- Assist in the preparation of BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and authorities for design approvals and coordination.
- Ensure design works comply with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum **8-12 years** of experience in civil design engineering, with at least **5 years in wet utility infrastructure projects in Qatar or GCC**.
- Grade A/B UPDA (MMUP) Engineer Certification is preferred (mandatory for senior-level roles in Qatar).
- Proven experience in design of **surface water drainage, TSE irrigation, and water distribution networks**.
- Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, InfoWorks, or equivalent.
