**About the role**:
As Technical Architect - Physical Security Systems, you will be responsible for helping us achieve the following:

- Managing the entire Physical Security System infrastructure including design, planning, technology enhancement, Cyber Security Compliance, Vendor Management and Support to meet business objectives of QR Group including outstations.
- Spearhead various Physical Security System projects from conception to execution including cost optimization, review and formulation of Core Solution Architectures with best practices.
- Responsible for providing technical support including team management of entire Physical Security Systems which include Video Surveillance System, Electronic Access Control Systems, Bio-metric Time and Attendance System. Parking Management System, Visitor Management System, Electronic Gate/Turnstiles, Motorized Swing Doors, etc. installed across Qatar Airways Group.
- Aid and advice senior management during decision making for various technical solution/projects highlighting risks and formulation of risk mitigation plans/contingency workarounds.
- Responsible for conducting and managing Proof of Concept demonstrations, Market Research and feasibility study on innovative technologies across the physical security landscape.
- Joint lead in the preparation of RFQ Specifications, BOQ, budgetary pricing, CAPEX/OPEX, CMC initiation, preparation of Technical Evaluation reports and all joint responsibilities involved in new contact creation and existing contract amendments.
- Manage the technical expertise within the team so that resources are appropriately and effectively allocated for design and installation & commissioning activities based on their skill level and operational/ project requirements.
- Ensures processes, system guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) for physical security systems are documented, reviewed and updated on regular basis.
- Responsible for the review and implementation of ISO 27001 standards in Physical Security Systems domain.
- Responsible for liaising and managing both internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirement and plan the implementation/ upgrade of Physical Security Systems.
- Ensure that systems are periodically tested for business continuity and all cyber security vulnerabilities are addressed.
- Ensure all established IT infrastructure library (ITIL) processes and procedures are implemented and adhered for standardized Services and support across IT platforms, to enhance and improve IT service provisions, stability and predictability.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**:

- Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor’s level
- Degree in Electronics/Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
- Expert - minimum 10 years of job-relevant experience required
- In depth knowledge about federal and centralized Access Control System database architectures, access control card technologies, biometric technologies, and associated standards/ protocols.
- Exposure to Video Management System, CCTV Cameras and Advanced Video Analytics System
- Experience in projects and support and maintenance activities of Physical Security Systems
- Experience in a customer facing role involving direct communication with users
