Rheumatologist (Consultant)

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, and other autoimmune disorders.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as joint aspiration and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Provide consultation services for inpatients and outpatients, as well as referrals from other specialists.

Education & Research:

- Participate in medical education, conducting training sessions and workshops for residents, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Engage in clinical research, contributing to advancements in rheumatology and publishing in medical journals.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in rheumatology through continuing medical education (CME).

Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Care:

- Work closely with other medical departments, including orthopedics, physiotherapy, and internal medicine, to ensure integrated patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them on disease management and treatment options.
- Participate in hospital-wide case discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
