**Job Purpose**:
The Cashier cum Admin is responsible for performing cashier duties, processing payments, and handling customer transactions, while also supporting administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office. This role involves multitasking and requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
**Key Responsibilities**:Cashier Duties**:
- **Handling Transactions**:
- Accurately process customer payments via cash, credit/debit cards, checks, or digital methods.
- Provide receipts and issue change when necessary.
- Assist customers with refunds or exchanges according to store policies.
- Ensure cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
- **Cash Management**:
- Count and reconcile cash at the start and end of the day to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Deposit cash and checks into the bank as required.
- **Customer Service**:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Answer customer inquiries related to products, prices, and services.
- Address customer complaints or concerns and escalate issues to management if needed.
- **Point of Sale (POS) System**:
- Operate the POS system for processing sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Ensure accurate data entry and prompt resolution of any POS system issues.
**Administrative Duties**:
- **Office Administration**:
- Assist with filing, document organization, and maintaining office records.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and assist with event coordination when required.
- **Data Entry**:
- Input and update information in company databases (e.g., sales data, customer information).
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, sales reports, and inventory data.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Help monitor and manage inventory levels, restock products, and report low-stock items to management.
- Ensure the store or office is organized and well-maintained.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:
- Assist in generating financial reports, sales summaries, or other relevant documents.
- Support management with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials for meetings and presentations.
- **General Office Support**:
- Perform general office duties such as sorting and distributing mail, organizing files, and maintaining office supplies.
- Handle or escalate any administrative requests or issues that arise.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in office administration or finance are a plus).
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash management.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment.
**Skills and Attributes**:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Basic mathematical and accounting skills for cash handling.
- Good problem-solving skills and proactive approach to work.
