Responsibilities:

· Prepare patients for dental treatments and procedures.

· Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, and preparing materials.

· Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.

· Manage or assist with dental and medical emergencies when required.

· Support dental hygienists with various procedures as needed.

· Provide excellent patient care and comfort throughout visits.

· Record treatment details and patient information accurately in dental records.

· Capture and process dental x-rays, ensuring proper maintenance of x-ray equipment.

· Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental care, and preventive practices.

· Collect and record patient medical and dental histories, including vital signs.

· Deliver postoperative instructions under the dentist's direction.

· Maintain and care for all dental equipment.

· Take preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.

· Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impression trays.

· Order and manage dental supplies while maintaining accurate inventory.

Requirements:

· Dental X-ray certification (required).

· Previous experience as a dental assistant (preferred).

· Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· A caring, patient-centered approach and professional demeanor.
