Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced
Infrastructure Architect
to define, govern, and oversee the architecture of
hybrid and multi-cloud environments
across
Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
.

This role is highly governance-focused and involves architectural design reviews, cloud migration oversight, IAM governance, DevOps standards enforcement, and close coordination with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. You will act as the
architectural authority
ensuring all solutions meet enterprise standards for
security, performance, resilience, and compliance
.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture Governance & Design

  • Define enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference models for cloud and on-prem environments
  • Review and approve solution designs from internal teams and vendors
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with business objectives and compliance requirements
  • Provide technical oversight during implementation and deployment

Cloud & Hybrid Architecture

  • Govern hybrid and multi-cloud solutions across Azure and GCP
  • Ensure best practices for SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS integrations
  • Define standards for cost optimization, monitoring, and operational resilience

Migration & Repatriation

  • Lead and review cloud migration and repatriation strategies
  • Validate migration plans, timelines, rollback strategies, and downtime controls
  • Oversee execution to ensure quality, performance, and compliance

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Govern IAM architecture across Azure AD / Entra ID and hybrid Active Directory
  • Enforce least-privilege access, Conditional Access, RBAC, and SSO
  • Oversee identity reviews and compliance reporting

Office 365 & Collaboration

  • Govern architecture and security models for Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance policies

Cloud Security & Resilience

  • Review network, firewall, and connectivity architectures (e.g., ExpressRoute)
  • Validate backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability designs
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks

Infrastructure & Database Oversight

  • Review Azure infrastructure and database designs (VMs, App Services, SQL, Cosmos DB)
  • Ensure capacity planning, redundancy, and security standards

DevOps & Automation Governance

  • Define governance standards for CI/CD pipelines
  • Review IaC templates (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) for quality and compliance
  • Ensure monitoring, alerting, and change tracking are embedded in pipelines

Project & Vendor Management

  • Act as architectural authority for IT and cloud projects
  • Review project readiness, design deliverables, and implementation plans
  • Participate in RFPs, vendor evaluations, and solution assessments

Stakeholder Engagement & Mentorship

  • Collaborate with business, technical teams, and vendors
  • Communicate architectural decisions and risks clearly
  • Mentor technical teams and guide best practices

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500, SC-100
  • Google Cloud: Professional Cloud Architect
  • DevOps Engineer Expert / Terraform Associate

Experience

  • 12–15 years in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture
  • Strong experience with Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments
  • Proven leadership in cloud migration and repatriation projects
  • Deep knowledge of IAM, Entra ID, Office 365, and hybrid identity
  • Strong background in governance, compliance, and architecture reviews
  • Hands-on knowledge of DevOps, IaC, and automation frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder, vendor management, and communication skills
