Internal Communication:
1. Senior Coordinator - Customs Clearance Services

Purpose:
1. Reports major issues and areas of non compliance to ensure quality service to Customer.
2. Ensure on time completion of import documentation & delivery
External Communication:
1. Port Authorities/Forwarders
2. Customers
Purpose:
1. Liaise with port authorities to update the Service Delivery on the changes in procedure and document requirements.
2. Coordinate with Customers to organize the requirements for hassle free shipment
Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Accountability: Are accountable for their acts and omissions.
Responsibility: To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Authority: To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Inspection
1. Attend X-ray inspection at the relevant port, along with the port Customs Officer to ensure all requirements are met and expedited.
2. Assist to move goods to the physical inspection area (pending customs agent decision green, yellow, red) to ensure all requirements are met and expedited.
3. Attend Customs Inspection to facilitate and meet and requirements set out by the Customs Officer.
4. Collect the gate release for shipment (Container Release email/SMS from customs) and ensure this is communicated to Land Transport/Service Delivery.
5. Inform Land Transport to exit port with the shipment, to expedite movement of goods.
6. Prepare clearance documents according to the set Govt. Guidelines, and process documents and other requests (Certificate of Origin etc.) on Customs Portal or Manually as required ensuring compliance with customs processes.
7. Ensure all Customs Documentation jobs are closed, outstanding payments and dues recovered, all jobs billed appropriately, re-submission of backdated exit documents for clearing the same, and update all the events on the Transportation Management System (OTM) according to standard operating procedures and best practices.
Document Acceptance & Bayan / Clearance (Support Coordinator only)
8. Execute document acceptance and clearance (Bayan) process such as validating document received from Coordinator (Broker) and prepare Bayan by uploading data from documents into the customs online Alnadeeb system (if licenced)
Payment/Invoice
9. Arrange Customs related payments (before handover to inspectors in a port). To ensure seamless clearance of goods.
10. Create Buy invoices in Transport Management System (OTM), to ensure timely payment.
Others
11. Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the management.
Education & Professional Qualification:
High School
Professional Experience:
1-2 years' experience in Customs Clearance
Geographic Experience:
Not required
Computer Skills:
Advanced Microsoft office
Language Skills:
Fluent communication (oral & writing) in English and in Arabic
