Key Responsibilities

Oracle EBS Administration

  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, clone, backup, and recover Oracle EBS applications.
  • Perform upgrades from R12.2.x to latest releases.
  • Administer core EBS components including users, request groups, form registration, workflow, custom applications, auditing, mail setup, concurrent manager configuration.

Database Administration

  • Install, patch, and administer Oracle databases and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
  • Configure and monitor RMAN backups.
  • Configure Oracle Data Guard and standby database environments.
  • Perform tuning and monitoring for databases and EBS applications.

Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting

  • Conduct health checks on Oracle databases and applications.
  • Diagnose production issues and implement fixes in coordination with DBAs, developers, system engineers, and functional teams.
  • Resolve technical issues related to database configuration, performance, and application errors.

Integration and Security

  • Support integrations with BI, OBIA, and other Oracle components from a DBA perspective.
  • Implement role-based access control for Oracle ERP.
  • Maintain security configurations including SSL and load balancing.

Scripting and Automation

  • Develop and deploy scripts using Shell, SQL, Perl, or Python.
  • Automate operational tasks and performance checks.

Disaster Recovery & High Availability

  • Implement disaster recovery setups for Oracle ERP applications on Azure or on-premises.
  • Configure and maintain multi-node cluster environments.

Technical Support & Documentation

  • Provide technical support for business-critical applications.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including installation guides, backup plans, and DR procedures.
  • Raise vendor support tickets and work on CAB change requests.

On-call Support

  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support based on business needs.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant Oracle Applications DBA experience.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) required.
  • Strong Linux server administration skills.
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x and Oracle Database administration.
  • Experience with RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) in reading and writing.
