Job Summary

We are a growing Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) seeking a skilled and dependable Junior Draftsman / Quantity Surveyor to provide technical support to our Senior Draftsman. This role is well-suited for candidates who have strong practical experience in AutoCAD, Excel, Interior Fit-out, Finishing, and Civil works, and are ready to apply their expertise in active project environments.

The ideal candidate is accurate, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision once initial instructions are provided.

Key Responsibilities: Drafting & Technical Documentation

  • Execute CAD drafting tasks for Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP) based on sketches and markups from the Senior Draftsman.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with established engineering standards, including proper layer management, line weights, and scales.
  • Update and revise existing drawings efficiently to reflect site instructions or design changes.
  • Maintain a well-organized digital filing system for all project drawings and documentation.

Quantity Surveying Support

  • Accurately extract quantities (e.g., surface areas, linear measurements) for various finishing materials such as drywall, paint, flooring, and ceilings.
  • Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) using Microsoft Excel.
  • Conduct site visits to verify installed quantities and cross-check against drawings and contractor claims.

Key Requirements: Technical Skills (Mandatory)

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (A practical speed and accuracy test will be required for shortlisted candidates).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including formatting and formulas commonly used in QS tasks.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and prepare Civil and Interior Design drawings independently.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role within the Construction, Fit-Out, or Interior Finishing industry.
  • Note: Fresh graduates may be considered only if they demonstrate exceptional technical skills and provide a strong portfolio.

Residency & Visa Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently residing in Qatar.
  • Must hold a valid Qatar ID (QID) with a transferable visa/NOC.

Probation Period

  • The selected candidate will undergo a 3-month probation period.
  • Sponsorship transfer will be initiated only upon successful completion of the probation.
