The opportunity

We are currently seeking to hire a Primary Class Teacher who can join our team in August 2026.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about shaping young minds and modelling the values that define Doha College. Our teachers do more than deliver lessons; they inspire curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

You will play a key role in ensuring that each child flourishes academically, socially, and emotionally, within an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated, and every learner feels a sense of belonging and purpose.

About you

As a Doha College teacher, you are more than an educator, you are a role model who brings the Learner Profile to life every day. You embody and nurture the qualities we wish to see in every child:

  • You model the power of learning and the potential of all. You believe every child can succeed and inspire them to discover their strengths through curiosity, creativity, and perseverance, encouraging them to take risks, reflect and grow from experience.
  • You see the positives in every situation and approach challenges with a can-do attitude. You turn obstacles into opportunities, helping pupils to develop resilience and optimism in their learning journey.
  • You are excited by challenge, change, and trying new things. You embrace innovation in teaching, seek out new ideas, and encourage your pupils to take risks, reflect, and grow from experience.
  • You set the highest standards for yourself and others in everything you do. You lead by example, demonstrating integrity, consistency, and a strong sense of purpose in your classroom practice and professional relationships.
  • You are kind, supportive, and honest towards yourself and others. You foster a classroom culture of trust and empathy, where children feel safe, valued, and confident to express themselves.
  • You embrace difference and diversity and are warm, friendly, and approachable to all members of our community. You promote equity, celebrate individuality, and help children appreciate the richness of perspectives within a global community.

By living these values, you create a learning environment that not only raises achievement but also shapes confident, compassionate, and principled young people, the essence of Doha College's vision and learner profile.

We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is therefore essential. You should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities.
