Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing all types of carpentry and woodwork-related maintenance, repair, and installation tasks within the facility. The role involves ensuring that all wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, partitions, and other structures are maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance of wooden doors, windows, frames, furniture, cabinets, and partitions.
  • Carry out repairs, modifications, and fabrication of wooden fixtures as required.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications.
  • Install and repair locks, hinges, handles, and other hardware accessories.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance team members (plumbers, electricians, masons, etc.) for multi-discipline tasks.
  • Maintain proper inventory of carpentry materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and company maintenance policies.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Report any damages or required replacements to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational certification in Carpentry preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in carpentry within facility management, maintenance, or construction.
  • Ability to read drawings, sketches, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and machinery safely.
  • Good understanding of different types of wood, joints, and finishing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Basic communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
