Responsibilities

  • To operate the waste reception equipment and S&R Plant in safe, smooth and efficient manner.
  • To assist the Shift Leader (S&R Plant) in fulfilling his roles and responsibilities.
  • To comply with safe working procedure and Permit-To-Work system.
  • To be responsible for achieving the plant operation targets.
  • To coordinate with other Operation Sections and Maintenance Section in matters related to S&R Plant O&M activities.
  • To supervise the operations of solid waste reception and S&R Plant
  • To maintain good work culture and discipline during shift duty.
  • To monitor and control processes and recording of operation activities and experiences.
  • To conduct routine checks on plant system and equipments
  • To carry out front line maintenance
  • To carry out isolation and normalization of equipments for maintenance.
  • To trouble-shoot, study process and equipment fault.
  • To carry out all field operation works and supervise the general workers/sorters.
  • To ensure general workers/sorters practice personal hygiene
  • To ensure proper house-keeping and cleanliness of S&R plant
  • To assist the Shift Leader in preparation of operation reports and documentation.
  • To assist the Shift Leader (S&R Plant) in attending to plant emergencies.
  • Any other duty as assigned by Shift Leader (S&R Plant).

Qualification/Experience

  • Diploma/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min. 2 years of relevant working experience in the operation and maintenance of Material Recycling Facilities (MRF) plant or similar industrial plant.
  • Able to work on rotating shift
  • Able to work in solid waste processing environment.
  • Team-oriented, self driven, meticulous
