The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our banquet staff team. As a member of our banquet staff, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests during special events, weddings, conferences, and other gatherings. You ll be responsible for providing exceptional service, ensuring the smooth flow of events, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, assisting with seating, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
  2. Set-Up and Clean-Up: Prepare banquet rooms by setting up tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications. After the event, ensure the area is promptly cleaned and reset for the next function.
  3. Food and Beverage Service: Serve plated meals, buffets, and beverages accurately and professionally. Be knowledgeable about the menu items and able to answer guest questions.
  4. Communication: Maintain effective communication with the kitchen staff, event planners, and other team members to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  5. Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow banquet staff to provide efficient and organized service. Assist colleagues as needed during busy periods.
  6. Safety: Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper food handling and maintaining a clean work environment.
  7. Problem Solving: Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and efficient manner, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
  8. Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable to different event types and schedules, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in banquet or restaurant service is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
