We are seeking an experienced
SAP TRM Functional Consultant
with strong public sector tax domain expertise to support the design, implementation, and support of
SAP Tax & Revenue Management (TRM)
solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams across the full SAP project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Conduct workshops with business teams to gather requirements, identify gaps in BRDs, and recommend optimal SAP solutions
  • Translate tax laws and regulatory requirements into SAP functional designs

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Configure SAP TRM / PSCD / FI-CA for:
  • Taxpayer registration
  • Obligation setup and returns processing
  • Payment posting, refunds, interest calculation, and dunning
  • VAT and other tax processes
  • Prepare functional blueprints, wireframes, and process flow documents
  • Provide solution walkthroughs and system demos to business users

Documentation

  • Create System Requirement Specifications (SRS), functional specifications, blueprints, test scripts, and user manuals
  • Provide functional support to technical teams during system design and development

Integration

  • Design and support integrations with SAP FI, FI-CA, and external systems such as taxpayer portals and banking interfaces

Testing & Deployment

  • Lead and support unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support go-live activities and post-go-live stabilization

Support & Training

  • Provide production support and issue resolution
  • Train end users and business stakeholders

Project Lifecycle

  • Participate in all phases of SAP implementation, including design, build, test, deployment, and handover

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP TRM, FI-CA, and PSCD
  • In-depth understanding of public sector tax administration processes (registration, returns, payments, refunds)
  • Proven ability to translate tax legislation into SAP configurations
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging and development concepts is an advantage
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills

Project & Consulting Experience

  • Experience in multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations using ASAP or SAP Activate methodologies
  • Prior client-facing consulting experience managing business stakeholders and requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • SAP Certification in SAP TRM or SAP FI-CA is preferred

Experience Required

  • 5–8+ years of overall IT experience
  • Significant hands-on experience in SAP TRM / FI-CA / PSCD
