Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2D/3D mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
  • Draft and detail mechanical systems including:
  • HVAC (ducting, chilled water systems, mechanical ventilation)
  • Plumbing (water supply, drainage, rainwater systems)
  • Firefighting systems (sprinklers, pumps, network layouts)
  • Medical gas systems (if applicable)
  • Prepare sections, schematics, isometrics, coordination drawings, and equipment layouts.
  • Ensure drawings comply with QCS, ASHRAE, NFPA, QCDD, Kahramaa, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other disciplines for drawing updates and clash resolutions.
  • Revise drawings based on consultant feedback and site conditions.
  • Assist in preparing MEP coordination drawings using Revit (if required).
  • Maintain accurate drawing records and document control as per Qatar project standards.
  • Conduct site visits or measurements when required for verification.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
  • Knowledge of QCS 2014, ASHRAE, NFPA, and QCDD regulations preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Qatar with MEP contractors or consultants.
  • Familiarity with Lusail, Qatar Rail, Ashghal, Msheireb, or major Qatar projects.
  • GCC experience preferred.

Experience

  • 4–5 years relevant experience.
  • Qatar/GCC experience is an advantage.

Job Types: Temporary, Contract
