Major Duties / Responsibilities: • Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of safety policies and programs to ensure occupational and personnel safety within the premises & projects. • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with the operations. • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facilities, equipment, and projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement. • Conduct investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near -misses, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences. • Analyses the causes behind such accidents/ incidents, conducts preventive and corrective safety checks as per prescribed standards and ensures readiness of all measures to be taken • Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure that all personnel are adequately trained for emergency situations. • Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and procedures to enhance the overall safety culture. • Assists in the development of safety management procedures, in compliance with all relevant quality standards and procedural/ legislative requirementsRequirements Qualification & Experience • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical/ chemical, Industrial or Fire & Safety Engineering from a reputed university. • Experience: Not less than 12 years of experience in fire & safety field with at least 5 years in Utilities (power & water) sector. • Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage • Computer literate and presentation skill
