Laundry Runner Associate

We are looking for an experinced laundry runner for a luxury hotel in Doha.

The job description may include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Collecting and Sorting Laundry:
• Gather soiled linens, towels, and other fabrics from various areas of the hotel, such as guest rooms, dining areas, and other departments.
• Separate and categorize items based on their fabric type, color, and any specific laundry requirements.
• Transportation:
• Use designated carts or containers to transport soiled linens to the laundry facility.
• Ensure a timely and efficient flow of dirty and clean laundry between the hotel and the laundry area.
• Loading and Unloading Machines:
• Load washing machines with soiled linens, following proper guidelines for load size, detergent, and water temperature.
• Transfer clean, dry items to dryers and unload them once the drying cycle is complete.
• Monitoring and Maintenance:
• Regularly check and maintain laundry equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance department for prompt resolution.
• Folding and Packaging:
• Fold and stack clean linens neatly, adhering to hotel standards for presentation.
• Package and label items for distribution to the appropriate hotel departments, such as housekeeping or storage.
• Inventory Management:
• Keep track of linen inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and maintaining accurate records.
• Adherence to Standards:
• Follow established hotel policies and procedures for laundry operations, including safety protocols and hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with quality control measures to meet the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Customer Service:
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to meet guest requests for additional linens or specific laundry services.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to any guest inquiries or concerns related to laundry services.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other members of the laundry and housekeeping teams to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient operation.
• Adaptability:
• Be flexible and willing to assist in various tasks within the laundry department, as needed.
