Job Summary

Alftek International
is seeking an experienced
Lead Electrical Design Engineer
to lead complex building services projects across high-rise, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical design engineers to ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare detailed electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD software
  • Conduct design reviews and resolve technical design challenges
  • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, ELV, and other disciplines for seamless integration
  • Develop and implement electrical design strategies aligned with project objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers across power systems, fire alarm, ELV, and telecom (Ooredoo) systems
  • Ensure compliance with QCS, local authority regulations, and international standards
  • Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and design submissions to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience
    as an Electrical Design Engineer
  • At least 5 years of experience in the GCC (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams
  • Strong proficiency in CAD and electrical design documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • MMUP Grade A – Mandatory
  • Qatar resident preferred with
    valid NOC
