Responsibilities

  • Carry out dismantling, inspection, servicing, and reassembly of a wide range of valves including:

    • Butterfly Valves (Block 20)

    • Globe Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)

    • Gate Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)

  • Inspect internal components such as seats, discs, stems, seals, packing, and body condition.

  • Perform valve lapping, grinding, seal replacement, packing adjustment, and reconditioning.

  • Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests as per project or OEM requirements.

  • Verify valve stroke movement and operational smoothness after assembly.

  • Ensure proper installation and alignment when fitting valves back into the system.

  • Read and understand P&IDs, isometric drawings, datasheets, and OEM manuals.

  • Assist in troubleshooting valve leaks, seat damage, corrosion, stuck movement, and mechanical faults.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

  • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade.

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in valve maintenance and repair.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Butterfly Valves

    • Globe Valves (ST21, ST22)

    • Gate Valves (Block 20, ST Series)

  • Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industry preferred.
