We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our medical center's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting accurate financial reporting. Experience in healthcare or medical billing environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
  • Record all financial transactions, including billing, expenses, and payroll.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate financial reports for management to review and make informed decisions.
  • Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Compliance and Audit Support:
  • Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Cost Management:
  • Monitor operational costs and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on department spending and assist in variance analysis.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure a cohesive financial strategy and reporting.
  • System Management:
  • Utilize accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Stay current with technology trends in accounting and healthcare financial management.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a healthcare or medical center environment in Qatar.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
