Job Summary:

The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in the plant to ensure a comfortable and safe working environment. The role supports uninterrupted operations and optimal working conditions for machinery and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems in the facility.

  • Conduct routine inspections of AC systems to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and ductwork.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on chillers, split units, packaged AC systems, and related components.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency.

  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and replacement of AC components.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs or installation of new systems.

  • Support other maintenance activities related to plant climate control when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an AC Technician in industrial or manufacturing settings.

  • Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC components.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems.

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and best practices.

  • Good understanding of safety standards and practices in HVAC maintenance.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration, or related field.

  • Experience with large industrial AC systems in manufacturing plants.

  • Knowledge of environmental and energy efficiency practices in HVAC systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in standing, bending, or confined positions for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and handle AC components, tools, and equipment safely.

  • Ability to work at heights when required for installation or maintenance.
