Snoonu is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager – Financial Accounting & Taxation to lead the company's accounting function across all financial accounting activities and group entity consolidation. This role is instrumental to Snoonu's continued growth and international expansion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, experience working in a multi-entity international group, and the leadership capabilities required to manage and develop a high-performing accounting team.

What You'll Get Your Hands On

• Financial Accounting & Month-End Close
• Oversee the general ledger, month-end closing process, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage and enforce the monthly closing calendar and key deliverables.
• Group Consolidation
• Lead the consolidation of Snoonu's group entities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Align accounting policies and procedures across all subsidiaries.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reporting packs.
• Support group-level management reporting and financial analysis.
• International Expansion Support
• Establish accounting processes and controls for new international markets.
• Coordinate with local advisors to ensure statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance in each jurisdiction.
• Standardize reporting frameworks and structures across the group.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of ~6 accountants across AP, AR, GL, and reporting.
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and best practice adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen data integrity and process efficiency.
• Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
• Strengthen internal controls across the accounting and reporting cycle.
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements in collaboration with Product, Tech, and Data teams.
• Ensure optimal use of Odoo and related financial systems.
• Audit, Tax & Compliance
• Lead external audit processes for Snoonu and its consolidated group.
• Ensure corporate tax, VAT, and broader regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and relevant regulatory bodies.

The Magic You Bring

• ACCA, CPA, or CA qualification.
• 5–7 years of experience in accounting, reporting, and consolidation, Big 4 is strongly preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and multi-entity accounting.
• Proven experience managing and developing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems (MS Dynamics or Odoo preferred).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in tech, e-commerce, logistics, or other fast-growth sectors.
• Exposure to international operations and multi-country regulatory compliance.
• Arabic speaking.
