Job Purpose

In this role, you will act as the organization's Cloud ERP technical authority, responsible for establishing design guidelines and best practices for cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Your primary focus will be on leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Oracle Integration Cloud, to architect robust ERP solutions that seamlessly integrate with other business systems and extensions using Oracle's PaaS offerings.

You will provide technical leadership, guiding the development of extensions and ensuring adherence to cloud architecture best practices, compliance, and operational excellence. As a leader within the IT organization, you will define technology architecture governance processes, select appropriate tools and technologies, and manage resourcing.

Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and coach a team of technology architects and software engineers engaged in the design, development, and deployment of large-scale, mission-critical enterprise applications for both on-premises and cloud environments. You will have the opportunity to shape the evolution of the current technology stack and product roadmap, as well as design and implement new solutions using proven, industry-leading approaches. Your expertise in driving innovation will be essential to ensure that systems deliver maximum value to the business and its customers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards, conduct design and code reviews, and provide technical guidance to delivery teams.
• Offer technical leadership to Lead Architects, reviewing and contributing to key deliverables such as technical architecture documents, functional and non-functional requirements, interface specifications, and high-level design documents.
• Ensure system designs are manageable, maintainable, scalable, resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective, while meeting business requirements.
• Oversee the documentation and fulfillment of all application non-functional requirements (NFRs), ensuring thorough testing and implementing corrective or preventive actions as needed.
• Participate in production readiness reviews prior to application releases.
• Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents in production systems, recommending and ensuring the implementation of effective preventive measures.
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of production systems.
• Supervise development activities and review project artifacts to ensure consistency with established design and architecture guidelines.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and Infrastructure Management teams to ensure adherence to group-wide standards for tools, platforms, and processes.
• Plan and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate complex solutions and emerging technologies, ensuring rapid identification and elimination of infeasible approaches.
• Champion innovation to maximize business and customer value from technology solutions.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal IT teams to design and implement robust, secure solutions.
• Oversee and mentor delivery teams, fostering technology competence, supporting career development, and building a high-performing organization.

Knowledge & Experience

• Should have Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 yrs of job-related experience.
• Extensive experience in end-to-end architecture and design of complex, mission-critical systems.
• Deep understanding of architecture patterns and design principles.
• Proven ability to design ERP Cloud architectures that align with IT strategic objectives and long-term business goals, ensuring solutions support both current and future operational needs.
• Leadership in adopting emerging technologies within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to drive innovation in ERP solutions.
• Skilled in developing strategies to optimize ERP system performance and scalability, ensuring infrastructure supports growth and evolving business requirements.
• Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with Oracle to influence product roadmaps, stay informed about future technologies, and ensure the ERP system leverages the latest advancements.
• Expertise in developing and implementing strategies for long-term ERP system sustainability, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and ongoing maintenance.
• Track record of developing and delivering training programs to upskill teams on Cloud ERP and establishing Centers of Excellence (CoE).
• Oversight of deployment, configuration, and customization of ERP systems on OCI, ensuring all components function as designed and meet business requirements.
• Strong background in integrating ERP systems with other enterprise applications using OCI tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), with a focus on loosely coupled, event-driven data flows and system interoperability.
• Experience with event-driven messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, and Oracle Advanced Queue.
• Experience in migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the airline domain is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and engineering platform concepts.
• Understanding of information security standards, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• Ability to clearly articulate technology decisions and the rationale for adopting specific technical stacks to both C-level executives and technical architects.
