Role Overview

The
Rogue Detection Technician
will play a critical role in safeguarding enterprise environments by proactively identifying, analyzing, and neutralizing unauthorized and malicious network activities. This position is responsible for real-time monitoring, advanced threat investigation, and rapid response execution across mission-critical infrastructures.

You will collaborate closely with cybersecurity, network, and operations teams to strengthen security posture, prevent breaches, and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Perform
real-time monitoring
of networks and systems for rogue devices, access points, and anomalous activity

Investigate alerts, analyze logs, and perform root-cause analysis on suspicious events

Execute
incident response and mitigation procedures
as per established security frameworks

Identify unauthorized access attempts, rogue wireless devices, and compromised endpoints

Produce
detailed incident reports
, risk assessments, and remediation recommendations

Work collaboratively with IT, and event operations teams to harden defenses

Required Qualifications

Strong
analytical, troubleshooting, and threat-hunting skills

Hands-on experience with cybersecurity monitoring, detection, and response tools

Solid understanding of incident handling, mitigation techniques, and security best practices

Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Prior experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, NOC, or network security roles preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (preferred)

Certifications (Highly Advantageous)

CompTIA Security+

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

Any wireless security / network security certifications are a strong plus
