Job Purpose:

To ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of elevators and escalators through regular maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on elevators and escalators according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure equipment is functioning according to manufacturer and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls and carry out immediate repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service reports, ensuring records are updated in the system.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding technical findings or recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Qatar Civil Defense, and safety regulations.
  • Report the need for spare parts or major repair work to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Support in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new elevators and escalators when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or ITI in Electrical / Mechanical or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in elevator and escalator maintenance (preferably in GCC countries).
  • Hands-on experience with major elevator brands (e.g., KONE, OTIS, Schindler, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, controllers, safety devices, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and tools.

Preference will be given to locally available technicians and open up for overseas candidates also.
