Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily HSSE inspections across shipyard, fabrication yards, dry docks, and offshore facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.

  • Monitor high-risk activities such as hot works, lifting operations, confined space entry, work at height, and marine operations.

  • Verify availability and correct use of PPE.

  • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and implement immediate corrective actions.

  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency drills.

  • Report HSSE observations, near misses, incidents, and non-conformances.

  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure environmental controls including waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control.

  • Coordinate with supervisors and contractors to maintain safe working conditions.

  • Maintain HSSE inspection records and reports.

Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory).

  • Valid HSSE / Safety Inspector certification.

  • Firefighting and First Aid certifications (preferred).

  • PTW, H2S awareness, confined space, and work-at-height training (advantage).

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5–10 years of HSSE experience in shipyard, marine, offshore, or oil & gas projects.

  • Strong knowledge of QHSSE standards, and international codes (OSHA, IMO, ISO

  • Experience working in fabrication yards, dry docks, and vessel maintenance projects.
