Job Description: Transportation & Installation (T&I) Coordinator

Project: EPIC for ISSD Sustainability Project (IS-04 & IS-34) – WHJs, Pipeline, Abandonment, Subsea Cable Installation & Modifications at PS-1 Reporting To: Installation Manager

Job Purpose

The T&I Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all transportation and installation activities related to the offshore scope, including platforms, pipelines, subsea cables, and abandonment works. The role ensures compliance with HSE, quality, and project schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning & Coordination

  2. Develop and review T&I procedures, method statements, and lift plans in collaboration with engineering and marine teams.

  3. Coordinate vessel and barge mobilization/demobilization, ensuring compliance with project schedules.

  4. Liaise with logistics teams for timely transportation of materials and equipment to offshore sites.

  5. Support offshore crew and vessel scheduling, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

  6. Offshore Installation Supervision

  7. Oversee the installation of WHJs, pipelines, and subsea cables, ensuring adherence to approved procedures.

  8. Monitor marine spread operations, including anchor handling, rigging, and lifting activities.

  9. Supervise subsea abandonment activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.

  10. Ensure proper positioning and installation of subsea structures, pipelines, and cables using survey and positioning systems.

  11. HSE & Quality Compliance

  12. Ensure all T&I activities comply with company HSE policies and industry standards (e.g., IMCA, API, DNV).

  13. Conduct risk assessments (JSA, HIRA) and toolbox talks for offshore crews.

  14. Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality requirements.

  15. Report and investigate incidents/near-misses, implementing corrective actions.

  16. Interface & Reporting

  17. Act as the primary point of contact between onshore engineering, offshore teams, and subcontractors.

  18. Provide daily progress reports, including installation logs, weather delays, and non-conformities.

  19. Coordinate with survey teams, ROV operators, and diving support (if applicable).

  20. Assist in resolving technical and operational challenges during offshore execution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Marine, or related field).

  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in offshore T&I coordination, preferably in pipeline, subsea structures, or jacket installations.

  • Certifications:

o BOSIET/HUET (Offshore Survival)

o OPITO/IMCA certifications (preferred)

o Rigging & Lifting Competency

  • Technical Skills:

o Proficient in T&I engineering software (e.g., SACS, OrcaFlex, AutoCAD).

o Familiarity with dynamic positioning (DP) vessels, crane operations, and subsea systems.
