About the job:
In this interesting role you will be working in our Recruitment Team.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & Safety, Information security and business continuity policies.
- Work closely with the Head of TA and TM to develop a recruitment plan in line with the approved organization structure and manpower plan.
- Adherence to quality, health & Safety, Information security and business continuity policies.
- Work closely with the hiring manager to understand the candidate requirements and to provide recruitment support for acquiring relevant talent.
- Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of the Human Resources function relating to recruitment and selection matters and associate terms and conditions to the hiring managers.
- Participate in providing estimates on selection and recruitment costs for relevant positions.
- Maintain a high standard of professional recruitment practice by creating a high-quality resource pool, posting jobs on various job portals, newspapers etc, and screening resumes as per the requirement of the open position.
- Develop and maintain sound working relationship with the recruitment vendors / agencies to ensure smooth functioning of the recruitment process.
- Ensure pre-employment checks are planned appropriately in advance to enable posts to be filled out promptly.
- Conduct preliminary interviews before lining up the interview with the manager concerned to ensure basic requirements like qualifications, experience etc. are met.
- Develop and maintain candidate database and refer to the same for hiring purposes.
- Prepare and release job offers for approved candidates. Offer and negotiate within the approved salary ranges (as per the approved Compensation & Benefits structure of Al Awalia). Escalate any deviation from the prescribed grade or pay ranges to Head of TA & TM.
- Build Al Awalia's employer brand image via career fairs and any other related activities to facilitate potential candidates' awareness and interest in Al Awalia employment opportunities.
- Ensure background verification is conducted and completed, if applicable, before the staff / skilled worker is provided with the final contract.
- Ensure all recruitment activities at Al-Awalia are as per the defined and approved budget.
- Liaise with the Government Relations team for visa / work permit, sponsorship related matters.
- Ensure that all third-party sub-contractors perform as per agreed SLAs and escalate any issue / discrepancy to the Head of TA and TM
- Support in moving Recruitment to the system for the organization
- Ensure to update and create missing Job descriptions as and when required.
- Ensure all related to the recruitment function are made in a timely fashion.
- Support in ensuring active manpower contracts for manpower agencies.
- Support in recommendations on the improvement of selection, manpower, and recruitment process as well as update selection and recruitment procedures, as and when required.
- Support in the nationalization processes for the organization.
- Prepare and submit HR reports highlighting the overall performance and new initiatives to Head of TA & TM
- Formulate the Qatarization strategy for Al Awalia, which actively aims at the identification and advancement of key Qatari talent.
- Develop and implement induction and orientation programmes for the new joiners to ensure proper familiarization with the Al Awalia culture.
- Prepare feedback on training programs and modules on an ongoing basis and provide recommendations and suggestions for further improvements to ensure training delivered is up to date.
- Manage the arrangements for training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Book interviews / meetings as and when requested by Head of TA and TM
- Archiving all documents in employee files and management of the archiving system in Al Awalia.
- Support in performance management of employees, training requests, PDP and succession plans, reward schemes as and when required.
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees/new joiners/internship students through questionnaires and discussions with department.
- Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager as per the business requirements.
About you:
For you to be successful you will need to have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR or any related discipline is required.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Good command of English & Arabic languages is preferred.
- Proficient in MS office tools.
- Strong negotiations skills required
