About the Role:

Total Safety is seeking an experienced
Senior Safety Officer
to lead and oversee
Day-to-Day (D-t-D), Turnaround (TAR), and project safety operations
in the oil & gas sector. The role ensures full compliance with QHSE standards, supervises high-risk activities, and drives a strong safety culture across onshore worksites.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the implementation of the
QHSE Management System
in coordination with site management


• Ensure contractors and personnel comply with company and client HSE policies and standards


• Oversee safety measures during
D-t-D, TAR, and project activities


• Identify, assess, and document hazards, risks, and control measures, ensuring compliance with international standards


• Conduct and supervise emergency response drills and monitor workforce readiness


• Execute HSE inspections, audits, and reporting for D-t-D and TAR activities


• Enforce
Permit to Work (PTW)
procedures and oversee
Stop Work Authority (SWA)
and safety observation programs


• Supervise temporary work areas, high-risk operations, and safe handling of hazardous materials


• Provide HSE guidance and mentoring to operations teams to ensure full compliance

Requirements:


• Minimum
5 years' experience in oil & gas HSE roles
, with overall
8 years in HSE


•
NEBOSH IGC – Mandatory


• Strong experience in
confined spaces, high-risk industrial environments, and shutdown/turnaround operations


• Physically fit; able to work
under direct sun and hot weather conditions


• No height phobia


• Excellent communication skills in
English


• Proven ability to
lead and mentor safety teams
on site
