Work Location: Qatar

Monthly salary: 15,000 QR to max 20,000 (all inclusive - full package), depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using a microscope or an automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases.
  • Analyze test and experimental results to ensure compliance with specifications, using specialized mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Monitor analysis and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives.
  • Determine a final diagnosis when abnormal results are found.
  • Examine the blood smear to diagnose any abnormalities.
  • Supervise blood collection from patients and observe aseptic principles to obtain a blood sample.
  • Read the Mantoux Skin Test to confirm Tuberculosis or BCG vaccination.
  • Supervise quality control results, quality assurance requirements, and established guidelines as per the Lab, Department, or section.
  • Supervise safety policies, universal precautions, and hazardous material management and waste policies.
  • Approve, sign, and be accountable for all relevant information, specimen requirements & patient results as appropriate.
  • Ensure the most efficient TAT of all lab results and adherence to the promised patient report time.
  • Validate the accuracy of assigned laboratory reports. Verifies that abnormal results have been double checked or investigated and that Critical values are promptly reported to the concerned physicians.
  • Inspect and monitor work in progress to ensure that standard operating procedures and safety precautions are followed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain established policies and procedures by the AJMS Quality Management System.
  • Recommend outside sources of laboratory services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Master's Degree or Specialty Certificate in Laboratory Medicine.
  • QCHP License or eligibility as a Laboratory Doctor in Qatar.
