Role Description

Techpace is seeking a motivated and curious
SOC Analyst – Level 1
to join our on-site Security Operations Center in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time role ideal for
fresh graduates or professionals with up to 1–2 years of experience
who are eager to start their career in cybersecurity and grow within a SOC environment.

As a SOC Analyst L1, you will be responsible for monitoring and triaging security alerts, performing initial analysis of potential security incidents, and escalating findings to senior analysts when required. You will work closely with the SOC team, gain hands-on exposure to security tools and processes, and continuously develop your technical and analytical skills through real-world investigations and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM and security monitoring tools.

Perform initial triage and analysis of alerts to determine severity and potential impact.

Assist in basic incident investigation and documentation following established SOC procedures.

Escalate confirmed or suspicious incidents to L2/L3 analysts with clear and accurate context.

Support threat analysis activities and develop foundational skills in threat detection and analysis.

Continuously learn and stay up to date with common attack techniques, threats, and security best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, IT security, or a related technical role.

Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as networking, operating systems, common attack vectors, and security controls.

Exposure to SOC tools, SIEM platforms, or security monitoring environments is an advantage but not mandatory.

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and willingness to follow structured investigation processes.

Clear communication skills and the ability to document findings accurately.

A strong desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in cybersecurity.

Relevant entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Blue Team Level 1, or similar) are a plus but not required.
