This is joint venture between DeMEP and AEC.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As an Electrical Design Engineer at DeMEP-AEC, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects while contributing to the collaboration between Sri Lankan and Qatari companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs, schematics, and drawings for various projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
  • Select and source electrical components and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for electrical systems.
  • Test and commission finished projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including design specifications and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (4 years full-time BSc. Eng. degree).
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Proficiency in BIM is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional engineering license (Grade A in Qatar) is a plus.
