Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Production Control Engineer Level I. The purpose of this Job is thorough technical preparation and coordination of scheduled maintenance layovers, ensure the completion of Production Planning tasks, with allocated ground time with optimum use of resources.

Operational

• Review all planned Line & Base inputs for required preparation and make prior arrangements with all concerned sections (Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Fleet Planning, shops and Scheduling) to ensure smooth accomplishment of the maintenance.
• For C-Checks, A-Checks, Line Checks, Modifications and certain Special checks, monitor practical project plans execution taking into consideration available capacity, allocated ground time and materials / tooling availability as the check progresses. Provide daily updates to such plans to reflect developments during maintenance.
• Be the focal point for C-Checks, A-Checks, Line Checks, and major modification layovers. Conduct daily C-check / modifications progress meetings in the CCO with Maintenance Supervisors, highlight down time risks and circulate daily status reports.
• Follow up and be actively involved in obtaining resolutions for issues arising during planned / unplanned maintenance.
• Review of open Tech Log defects correctly assigned to Planning in the (Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning System) AMPPS system / TRAX (IT System Software) and take necessary action to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordination for resolution of defects loaded during Line & Base Maintenance to ensure required parts and tooling are positioned in Hangar / respective Aircraft Location.
• Review completed packages and forward to Fleet Planning
• Review packages in case of last-minute changes to Line & Base input forecasts / schedules to align work scope with available capacity and aircraft ground time.
• When required, participate as part of Qatar Airways Representative team during outsourced maintenance.

About you

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

Essential

• Knowledge of Aviation regulations (Part 145, Part M).
• General knowledge of Aircraft/Engines systems
• Good computer skill, proficient with MS Office
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Command of English language.
