The EMV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and testing electro-mechanical vehicle systems. This role combines electrical, electronic, and mechanical expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vehicle operation, including conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical vehicle components
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on EMV systems
  • Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools, meters, and schematics
  • Inspect and service motors, controllers, batteries, wiring, brakes, and drivetrains
  • Follow safety procedures, especially when working with high-voltage systems
  • Record maintenance activities and report recurring issues
  • Support vehicle testing, commissioning, and technical inspections

Requirements

  • Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork
