Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality metal components through precise fabrication processes. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Fabricator will contribute to the production of durable, accurate, and efficient metal products, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce fabricated components.
  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques relevant to welding standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
  • Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or subassemblies.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and general welding techniques.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety standards.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
