Job Responsibilities
• Perform a range of radiographic examinations as directed by the Radiologist and Senior Technician
• Determine necessary Radiologic examinations based on requests and physicians' instructions
• Handle patients at the reception and provide clear instructions to patients, reducing anxiety and ensuring cooperation during procedures
• Assist in positioning patients on examination tables for accurate imaging
• Operate radiologic equipment proficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure radiologic equipment is properly positioned and controls are adjusted for each examination
• Maintain and uphold radiation safety measures for the well-being of patients and team members
• Conduct repeat imaging for studies that do not meet established standards
• Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions to the Senior Radiology Technician
• Perform administrative tasks, including form completion, labeling films, and maintaining supplies for examinations
Qualification
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology / Diagnostic Imaging / Radiography.
• Must obtain a QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners) License or be eligible for it.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and diagnostic imaging techniques.
• Proven experience as a Radiology Technician in a hospital, laboratory, and radiology centre.
