Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our home-based bakery. The baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of artisanal baked goods — including cookies, breads, Korean salt bread, bagels and pastries — while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake bakery items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistent product quality.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.).
  • Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance for consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and organizing daily orders.
  • Help in inventory management — tracking ingredients, reporting shortages, and assisting with stock rotation.
  • Maintain records of production and quality control as needed.
  • Support in testing new recipes and improving current ones when needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily production schedules.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a baker or pastry assistant (home or professional setting).
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced baking techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency.
  • Good sense of time management and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a small team.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with sourdough, enriched doughs, and cookies.
  • Familiarity with commercial ovens and baking tools or is willing to learn.
  • Creativity and willingness to learn new techniques.
